Sitka is a popular island city located in Alaska's Inside Passage. The City hired Avia to develop a pedestrian wayfinding system that helped visitors explore the island community on foot without distracting from the quaint historic environment. The system Axia designed included low profile directory "totems" which mark key pedestrian routes. Large directory kiosks were placed at the 2 primary cruise ship docks where most visitors arrive. The system was the first item on the brand blue print which was a key deliverable of the new brand developed by Avia.
